PowerBi is a business intelligence tool that provides a cloud based BI services known as Power Bi Services and a desktop based interface called Power Bi Desktop.
Power Bi is a powerful tool that offers data capabilities including data preparations, data discovery and creation of interactive dashboards for data visualizations.
PowerBi is divide into three parts: Reports view, data table and modelling view.
Power Bi allows you to connect to any kind of data server, after getting the data you go through the ETL (Extract, Transform and Load data) process.
As an analyst it is important to note that the modelling part is the most crucial because that’s when you know how you data is related and which are the fact tables and look up tables.
After modelling you then create reports as shown in the image below, with reports you will be able to pin some of the important visuals to a dashboard according to your dashboard preference and later share with your business partner or clients.
